Reports from Georgia officials reveal that a mass shooting in Hampton resulted in the tragic death of at least four individuals on the recent Saturday morning.
The bloody sequence of events reportedly initiated around 10:45 a.m. in Hampton's Dogwood Lakes vicinity, a quaint city situated south of Atlanta.
The alleged offender, identified by law enforcement as Andre Longmore, 40, is suspected to have murdered three males and one female. "We've chosen not to disclose the victims' identities at the moment to allow their families adequate time for notification and private grieving before this information is publicized," expressed Police Chief James Turner during a press briefing on Saturday afternoon.
He also noted that there were at least four active crime scenes still under investigation. The alleged perpetrator was last seen operating a black 2017 model GMC Acadia SUV.
Four arrest warrants have been issued for Longmore. Additionally, a $10,000 reward has been offered by the Henry County Sheriff's Office for any pertinent information regarding the suspect. It is believed that Longmore remains armed and dangerous, supposedly in possession of a black handgun. Citizens who encounter him are strongly encouraged to dial 911 immediately.
"This is a mournful day for Hampton. Such events are not characteristic of our community. Together, as a Police Department, we will grieve and do everything within our capability to ensure that justice is served," Turner solemnly declared.
Both the Hampton Police Department and the Henry County Sheriff's Office in Georgia are conducting an active investigation into the incident. No further details are available as of now.
